January 30, 2014 – Gulf Shores (GSA) and Orange Beach, AL (OBA) – Known for its sugar white-sand beaches and welcoming Southern hospitality, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are developing a new music loving visitor base thanks to major music events, such as The Hangout Music Festival, and a continuous stream of major country acts at The Wharf’s amphitheater.
“Part of our marketing efforts for 2014 will focus on exposing our core audiences in key markets to the bounty of live music options that are a part of our Concerts at the Coast lineup,” said Joanie Flynn, vice president of marketing at Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism (GSOBT), which has the responsibility of promoting this Southern beach destination on the northern Gulf Coast. “We created this program to help guests see the caliber of performances that our area will welcome throughout the year as our beaches offer a whole different state of exhilaration.”
The Wharf’s C-Spire Wireless Concert Series – which features performances in a 10,000-seat outdoor amphitheater in Orange Beach – kicks off with back-to-back concerts on March 14 and 15 with Jason Aldean and special guests Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. Tickets for the 2014 Night Train Tour range from $59.75 to $73.10. Due to popular demand, limited tickets are available.
Then on April 26, Darius Rucker is joined at The Wharf by special guests Eli Young Band and Corey Smith. General admission tickets for the True Believers Tour is $53.50.

The beat keeps going as the nationally-recognized Hangout Music Festival returns for its fifth year May 16-18 in Gulf Shores. Unlike other music events, festival goers will have the luxury of staying in hotels, vacation rental condominiums or beach houses.
