GULF SHORES, AL — The 17th annual snowbird production at South Baldwin Community Theatre will open Feb. 12 in Gulf Shores.
This year’s production, titled “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s,” written by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick, will be directed by Marcia Forrester, assisted by Tina Swain.

GULF SHORES, Alabama — Each winter and spring, the Gulf State Park campgrounds are home for several hundred snowbirds, but some of those winter residents are hopping mad about changes being made to the way reservations in the park are handled.
At a town hall-style meeting in the park’s Activities Building Thursday night, the 225 chairs set out weren’t nearly enough to hold all those who came to discuss the issue, leaving dozens of people standing along the walls.

Student Peer Helpers is one program. Each school has one some with up to hundred students joining at most schools. And other programs are expanding and certainly catching on. Every school in Baldwin County now has a Peer Helper Group.

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — More than 240 people participated in the Shepherd’s Place Adult Respite Center’s Candy Cane Walk on Nov. 24 in downtown Fairhope.
