BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – The last time a strong hurricane made a direct hit on the Alabama coast was Hurricane Ivan nearly a decade ago. Gulf Shores’ officials don’t want residents to become complacent and putt on a hurricane preparedness expo from three until seven Thursday. SILVERHILL, Ala. (WPMI) Local 15 News reported Wednesday night the story of how an alligator attacked and killed a man's dog last week in Mobile Bay. Officials are urging folks to watch their pets and their kids since gators have over populated Mobile Bay.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) A Daphne family is mourning it’s four legged friend after an alligator attacked and killed him.
It all happened near a local park where children swim. The Parkers are hoping their loss will be a reminder to others that reptiles can be very dangerous.

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Visitors returned to the popular Gulf Shores beaches Tuesday, one day after they were closed following four drowning deaths in a two-day span.
One of the four men who died in the dangerous rip currents is from Bossier, Louisiana.

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The City of Gulf Shores closed all the beaches to all swimmers on Monday, due to the dangerous rip currents, but reoponed waters on Tuesday morning as both cities had yellow beach warning flags flying.
