ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The Orange Beach Public Library recently participated in fine forgiveness during National Library Week on April 14-20, but has decided to take it a step further.
On December 16, Orange Beach Public Library partnered with Orange Beach Elementary School’s PTO to celebrate the 20th birthday of the library. The first Library Director was hired in June of 1992, library cards were first given to the community in October and then, in December of 1992, the Orange Beach Public Library began circulating books.

To celebrate National Library Week, the libraries of Baldwin County are forgiving all fines.
Patrons can return overdue books, DVDs, audiobooks or any other library-owned material to any Baldwin County library through Saturday — the week of April 8-14 — and “mercy will be shown,” library officials said.
