ORANGE BEACH, Alabama — The city’s resident advisory committee plans to host a pair of forums this month to review the municipal finances in advance of the Sept. 28 referendum in which voters will be asked to levy an additional 2 mills of property tax.
Raising the municipal millage rate from 4 to 6 would bring in an extra $1.2 million annually and help the city maintain services like police and fire protection as they exit today, according to Orange Beach officials.
