October 27, 2009 - Orange Beach, AL (OBA) - On Saturday, November 14, 2009, The Maidens In Pink Stilettos will host
the largest SEC football party on Pleasure Island to help support the Junior Women’s Club “Clothe the Children”
program. Since the Pink Stilettos’ formation in 2006, these girls have proven that they know how to throw a
party! The “Game Day Soirée: Stilettos and the SEC” will be held at Live Bait Too. Doors will open at 10:30 am for
the 11:00 am game – and the party will go on all day! There will be 14 televisions and a 15 foot projection screen.
Visit www.pinkstilettos.org for the lineup of games that will be shown. The girls are encouraging all locals and
visitors to join in on the fun while helping local children in need.
The day will include SEC football, games, raffles,
football squares, a best dressed fan contest, a best fight song rendition contest, and hours of fun. Plenty of prizes
will be given away including local restaurant and retail gift cards, wine baskets, golf rounds, and even cash. $3.00
Bloody Mary and Mimosa Specials will be offered from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The girls will also be cooking up
some football favorites ‐ hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, chili and $0.50 wings. A $5.00 donation at the door will
allow fanatics entrance into the event.
Sarah Champagne, one of the organizers of the event, says “We all know that everyone around here loves college
football. We thought it would be so much fun for everyone in the area to get dressed up in their team colors and
get together to watch the games. It will be a fun day on Pleasure Island.”
The Maidens In Pink Stilettos is a Women’s Mardi Gras and Social organization located in Orange Beach. The
organization hosts at least one yearly event to help raise money for local charities. This year, a portion of all
proceeds collected will benefit the Pleasure Island Junior Women’s Club “Clothe The Children” program. This
program provides necessary school uniforms for students in need that attend schools on Pleasure Island and
surrounding areas. In 2008, the Junior Women’s Club was able to clothe more than 125 children. The Maidens In
Pink Stilettos hope that their 2009 contribution will help the organization clothe many more children in the
coming years. The event is made possible by the following Platinum Sponsors: Beebe’s Pest
& Termite, Cotton’s
Restaurant, Cosmos and Cobalt, DeSoto’s Seafood Kitchen, Eastern Shore Marine, Grant Sanders and Taylor PC,
Live Bait Too, Planet Beach, Precision Imaging, and TMak Signs and Graphics. Gold Sponsors include Vision Bank
and Sunset Cork Room.
