Kiwanis Club Names Gulf Shores Middle School Dream House Project Winners
January 30, 2009 - Gulf Shores, AL -
The Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores recently hosted the winners of the Dream
House Project of the advanced math class at Gulf Shores Middle School.
The students had to first create floor plans to match their building
using precise measurements, and had a maximum budget of $75 to spend on
building a model of their Dream House. Seventh Grade mathematics
instructor Roger Reetz assigned the annual Dream House project for the
students in early December 2008. The projects had to be completed by
Jan. 12. The projects were judged by 67 members of the community and
school system who came by the school to help choose the top houses.
